Dr. Domenique Barbaro, ND (she/her)
Dr. Domenique Barbaro is a licensed Naturopathic Doctor and graduate of the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM). Prior to completing her degree at CCNM, she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Honours Health Sciences from Wilfrid Laurier University. Alongside her academic career, Domenique has worked with children in multiple capacities, including one-to-one with children with neurodevelopmental disorders and volunteering with children in hospitals. This inspired her passion for pediatric health and influenced her to complete a Pediatric Focus Shift during her clinical internship at CCNM. Additionally, she completed her Birth Doula certification to further her knowledge on pregnancy, labour and postpartum health. Domenique is also passionate about women’s health including but not limited to areas such as reproductive health, hormonal health, perinatal health and menstrual regulation.
Domenique’s approach to care is thorough, evidence-based, and patient-centred and her goal is to educate and empower you and your little ones to live healthy and bright lives. She believes in treating the whole person and addressing the root cause of disease with the use of modalities such as nutraceuticals, acupuncture, cupping, nutrition and more. She takes a small and steady approach with the foundations of health being at the forefront of her treatment plans.
In addition to her naturopathic training, Domenique has strong research experience with multiple publications across a range of topics including nutrition, autism spectrum disorder and child learning. She is also currently a writer and Podcast host for EcoParent Magazine. In her spare time, you can find Domenique spending time with her family and dog Winnie, cooking a yummy pasta, or reading a novel with a hot cup of coffee.
