Community Yoga Class: Slow Flow Vinyasa with Meg Thorne (She/Her)

With a focus on grounding and the celebration of yoga, this vin/yin style class will combine a gentle heat building flow with the art of stillness and relaxation. Join Meg, our Bright patient experience team member, to observe World Yoga Day with a 60-minute community yoga class at Bright Health Co.

No previous experience needed. Safe during pregnancy. Mats will be provided.

ABOUT MEG THORNE

Meg Thorne is a student at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC), pursuing her Doctor of Chiropractic (DC). At CMCC, she runs a wellness & yoga student-based program and contributes to chiropractic research in women’s health. Prior to her studies at CMCC, Meg completed a Bachelor of General Science degree, with a focus of Biomedical Sciences from the University of Windsor. During her time in Windsor, Meg was the president of a student-based program promoting mental health & wellness in the science community. She also partook in multiple research projects regarding the aging population, accessibility, and Parkinson’s presentation.

Meg has a special interest in women’s health and wellness, and a goal to practice in pregnancy and postpartum care upon graduation. She travelled to Peru to complete her 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training (Vinyasa & Yin), to deepen her knowledge and expand her ability to help people of all mobility and life stages. Meg is passionate about creating space that allows people to feel both empowered and confident in movement. Outside of her time studying, Meg enjoys teaching and practicing yoga, working out, watching movies with her roommates’ and spending time with friends and family.
